SSC CHSL is the short form of “Staff Selection CommissionCombined Higher Secondary Level “, where SSC (Staff Selection Commission) is the recruitment organisation of government of India. It recruits staff for Group B, Group C, Group D for Central Government. In CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam) it conducts recruitment for Group C posts.

SSC CHSL 2018 exam will take place 1st July 2019 to 26th July 2019. SSC CHSL 2019 notification will be released on 12th Dec 2019. The online application for SSC CHSL 2018 will start from 5th March 2019 to 5th April 2019.

As per the SSC Calendar 2019, the SSC CHSL 2018 notification will be released on 5th March 2019.

SSC CHSL 2018 Fees

  • For General Category, the SSC CHSL application fee is Rs 100
  • However, for SC/ST/Females, there is no fee applicable

  • The registration has two-parts, after submitting the fees, you can proceed to the second part of the registration

Nationality / Citizenship A candidate must be either-

Citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan

A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,

the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

In order to be eligible for SSC CHSL Exam, you must have passed 12th Standard

or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

If the applicant possess any Degree obtained through open Universities or Distance Education Mode,

then that must be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.

Skill Test Eligibility:-
The applicant must have passed 12th standard in science stream with

Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.  (Data Entry Operator Post Only)

Age Limit Criteria & Relaxation 2018 for SSC CHSL

The relaxation in upper age is permissible as per the norms of SSC CHSL 10+2 Level exam 2018-19. The minimum age limit for SSC CHSL 2018-19 is 18 years and maximum age limit for SSC CHSL is 27 years as on 1st August 2018.

Selection Procedure

SSC CHSL Syllabus & Exam Pattern

  • SSC is conducting SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam online, there are 4 sections of the Tier 1 exam.
  • SSC CHSL Tier 2 will be a descriptive exam, comprises of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter or Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.
