 Anji Khad will be Indian Railways’ 1st cable-stayed rail bridge.

The Railways Minister Piyush Goyal has announced, India’s first cable-stayed Railways bridge “Anji Khad Bridge” to connects Katra and Reasi in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). This bridge being developed by Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL). This bridge is as a part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project.

The USBRL project also involves the Chenab river bridge. The Chenab Bridge once completed, will become the world’s highest rail bridge.

The total length of the Anji Khad Bridge is 473.25 metres. It has a single pylon, standing at a height of 331 metres above the river bed. The pylon had to be constructed in a vertical slope using micropiles of 40-metre depth all around the circumference of 20 metres well foundation.

अंजी खाद रेलवे का पहले केबल-स्टे रेल ब्रिज होगा।

रेल मंत्री पीयूष गोयल ने जम्मू-कश्मीर (J&K) में कटरा और रियासी को जोड़ने वाले भारत के पहले केबल रेल पुल (India’s 1st cable-stayed rail bridge) “अंजी खाद पुल” के निर्माण की जानकारी साझा की है। इस पुल को कोंकण रेलवे कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (KRCL) द्वारा विकसित किया जा रहा है। यह पुल उधमपुर-श्रीनगर-बारामूला रेल लिंक (USBRL) परियोजना का एक भाग है।

USBRL परियोजना में चेनाब नदी पुल का निर्माण भी शामिल है। चेनाब ब्रिज का निर्माण कार्य पूरा हो जाने पर यह दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा रेल ब्रिज बन जाएगा।

जी खाद पुल की कुल लंबाई 473.25 मीटर है । इसमें एक एकल खंभा है, जिसकी ऊँचाई नदी के तल से 331 मीटर है। इसमें 20 मीटर की अच्छी तरह से नींव की परिधि के चारों ओर 40-मीटर गहराई वाले छोटे स्तंभों का उपयोग करके एक ऊर्ध्वाधर ढलान में खम्बे का निर्माण किया जाना है ।
